Let’s say you receive a £100 no-deposit bonus which must be played through ten times. After you used the bonus cash, you have won £200. Before the money is released to you, you will need to have bet an amount equal to 10 x £100 = £1,000. 

Match Bonuses and Deposit Bonuses 

Deposit bonuses are given by online casinos to players for placing their first deposit. The wagering requirements here are either related to total of the bonus and the deposit or the credited bonus amount. You need to read the fine print before you place a deposit in this case.

If there are two casinos both offering a 100% deposit bonus up to £1,000 with one offering a 25x play-through and the other a 40x play-through, the immediate assumption would be that the former would be the better deal, right? However, this is not necessarily the case. If the first website says that bonus and deposit amounts need to be wagered 25 times, a deposit of £500 and a claim of £500 will total a bet of £25,000 (£500 + £500) x 25. The second website requests you to play through the bonus that has been credited to you 40 times. You thus need to bet £20,000 (40 x £500).

If you try and claim your bonus before you have met the requirements, it is very likely that you will be denied access to your winnings. Your deposit and the winnings may also be made void.
