How to Win Football Accumulators?
These are the top football accumulator tips you should follow:
Combine these steps with our latest tips and you should be winning at accumulators in no time!
How to Win Football Accumulators
There’s no simple way to succeed in betting but if you follow our football accumulator tips and advice it won’t be long till you start making profit. Read on for more detailed information about how to place winning football accumulators.
1: Get the Best Odds for your Accumulator
Not making sure you get the best odds for your accumulators means you’re losing out on money even if you do win! The difference in odds between sites can sometimes be huge but even if there’s only a small difference, these extra few pounds each time really add up. We estimate you could be losing out on hundreds over the course of a season by betting on inferior odds.
Where can I get the best odds for my accumulator?
There are two ways to make sure you get the best odds. The first is to use the recommended site we post alongside each accumulator: we always check for the best odds and let you know which site to use to get them.
The second way is a lot simpler than switching between sites for each bet: just use BetVictor! They have a Price Promise offer which guarantees to give you best odds for all your football accumulators. If another site could have gotten you better odds, BetVictor will match them and give you the difference in cash. The best accumulator bet is always placed with Bet Victor!
2: Follow Our Football Accumulator Tips

3: Don’t Place Massive Accumulators
Placing £1 15 fold football accumulators for a bit of fun now and again is great. But if these small bets are all you’re doing then chances are you’ll never make profit. We’ve made money by placing big stakes on small risk bets. This is the foundation of our accumulator tips. If you’re looking for longshots with bigger odds then we suggest checking out our both teams to score and win tips.
If you can afford it (and only if you can afford it) then look at staking up to £50 at a time on bets you feel are incredibly likely to win – odds between evens to 3/1 are ideal to build up a bankroll. Once you’ve built up a bit of profit from your investment you can start being more ambitious and looking for odds 20-1 and beyond using our football accumulator tips!
4: Take Advantage of Accumulator Offers
The best way to start building up a betting bankroll is to claim free bets. Nearly all sites offer a free bet bonus for new customers and we’ve compiled a list of the best sign up free bets. The first thing we did was to sign up to every site we could find and claim all the free bets and bonuses. It’s also a great way of using lots of sites and finding the one that suits your style of betting the best.
To find the right site for you, take a look at Football Bet Profit’s Top Sites for Accumulators where we’ve compared the best accumulator offers around!
If you’re following step 1 of our football accumulator tips and betting big then we’d recommend Betfair if you don’t already have an account with them. They offer up to £20 free for every £10 you bet up to £100. This means if you sign up and deposit £50 they’ll give you £100 in free bets. Read our Betfair Review to find more information about this and the terms and conditions involved.
5: Use Acca Insurance
When staking big money the first thing you want is an insurance policy. We often place our accumulators with BetVictor as they offer Acca Insurance. This means that when you place an accumulator of five or more teams and one loses, they refund your stake as a free bet. There are other sites that offer Acca Insurance, for example Betfair’s Acca Edge but we believe BetVictor’s to be the best around.
This insurance has saved us more times than you can imagine and it always helps to get over the disappointment of being so close to a win. One thing to note is that this acca insurance does not come into play if you’re using a free bet as your stake. Football Bet Profit recommend using the free bet on a ‘banker’ at odds of around evens or 2/1 to turn the free bet into cash and use it on our next betting tips football accumulator.
6: Research your Accumulators
This one goes with out saying but it’s very important if you want to start winning accumulators – do your research!
7: Think Long Term
This is one of our most vital accumulator tips to remember. You can’t expect to just place 1 bet and get rich, it takes long term betting to make a real profit. You always need to remember that if you lose a bet it’s not the end of the world – don’t go chasing your losses. If you’re placing bets at odds of 20-1 it means you only have to win 1 out of every 20 bets to break even. So even if you place 10 losing accumulators in a row, you can place 10 more and still make profit if you win 1.
This should always be in the back of your mind when you’re placing bets especially if you’re on a losing streak. Think about the long term and do not go chasing losses trying to win your money back quickly! So if our football accumulator tips for this weekend lose – don’t try and win it all back on Monday. Stay patient and bet as normal otherwise you’re likely to make things worse.
Football Accumulator Tips: Frequently Asked Questions
What is an accumulator bet?
An accumulator bet is simply a bet with multiple selections in which all of your selections need to be successful in order to win.
An accumulator can be small, such as a double or a treble but can also have many selections such as a sevenfold accumulator or a tenfold accumulator. The benefit of an accumulator is the potential for huge returns when adding lots of legs. Of course, the more selections you add, the less chance you have of winning as you only need one losing leg to lose the whole bet.
How do I place an accumulator bet?
Placing an accumulator bet is easy. Simply go to your betting website or app of choice* and add multiple selections to your betslip.
You will then be given the option, where available, to place an accumulator on all of the selections. If you are not given the option, it usually means some of the selections you have made can’t be combined. You cannot combine two selections from the same event in the same accumulator: for example you are not able to add a goalscorer selection and a result selection from the same game.

Can you mix different sports in one accumulator?
Yes, the majority of bookmakers allow you to mix different sports into one accumulator.
This means you can possibly bet on a football team, a boxer and a horse all in one bet, for example. You can also mix different markets on the same sport in a single accumulator, providing they are different events or matches. You could bet on both teams to score in some games and the match result of other games in one accumulator.
How are football accumulators calculated?
A football accumulator is calculated by multiplying the odds of all the selections within your bet.
Here’s an example: If you place a £10 fourfold accumulator with the following odds – 2/1, 1/1, 1/3, and 4/1, you would get a total return of £400, including your initial stake. Your bookmaker should show you the odds and the potential returns of your accumulator before you place it so there’s no need to do your own maths!
Do football accumulators include extra time?
Most of the time when you’re placing a football accumulator, you’re betting on the match result only.
That means that in situations where extra time and penalties are possible, it’s only the score after 90 minutes that will count and not extra time. You can, however, bet on which team will qualify or lift the trophy and these markets do take into account extra time. Be careful which type of bet you place when extra time is involved.
What happens to my accumulator if a match is abandoned?
In the majority of situations when a match is abandoned that leg of the accumulator will be voided and will act like it doesn’t exist.
Therefore if you place a fourfold and one game gets abandoned it will become a treble and you will be paid out on the remaining legs if your bet ends up winning. Betting sites may vary when it comes to settling an accumulator when 1 or more of the matches are abandoned or postponed so please check with your bookmaker of choice for full details.
What is the maximum payout on a football accumulator?
Every site has a different limit to how much they will pay out on a football accumulator so be sure to check with your bookmaker if you need to know.
With most major sites the maximum payout is £500,000 or more. If you’re lucky enough to be concerned about these maximum payout limits then congratulations!
